More Sand Dunes?….. Ok

This is another shot from my day at Lancelin.   You just couldn’t go up there and take a bad shot, I’m sure its almost impossible.  Going to Lancelin was such a welcome change from our unfortunately lack lustre photographic opportunities in Perth this summer.   The only reason why I left was because I was getting tired otherwise I could’ve shot there all night.   Guys and ladies, you just have to get up there and have a go.   Lancelin definitely rocks!!!!

On another note don’t forget that Christian Fletcher’s exhibition is coming up soon.  Make sure you turn up to support an extremely talented West Australian Landscape Photographer.

Thank you for stopping by.

  1. Lancelin is good apart from the idiotic dickheads who think their 4wd can go anywhere.

  2. Great pic, Jamie. Love that leading line all the way up the photo. The textures in the sane are really nice, too.

Michael – We got asked to tow out a van from the sand dunes!!!! That was pretty funny. I thought the motorbikes were the most annoying.

Beau – Thanks for the feedback. This time around I really focused on leading lines on every shot I did. I think it paid off.

Merv – It certainly was worth the effort (except for the sand!). Maybe we could organise a group shoot up there one day.

Kirk – I am so glad we did it. You Neal and I just had to get out of Perth didn’t we?

I like this one better Jamie ! The leading lines in through the composition to the blowing sand off the final ridge of the dune work well. 🙂

  10. Great shot mate – i love going up there and driving through to wedge … there’s some great photography to be had … I’ve got a few nice dune shots but my mates are always in them with their 4WD’s! After seeing these I might be letting there tires down a little too much!

Dylan – You don’t need a 4WD to cover a lot of the sand dunes. Yo can drive to the main parking area and then it would probably take 10 to 15mins easy walking on the sand to hit the main sand dune area. Just wear highly visible clothing as there is lots of traffic out there.

Richard – Yeah next time make sure you go first and get the photos before you let them drive over anything. Are there any better sand dunes to photograph on the way to Wedge or are the ones at Lancelin the most impressive?
