Tonight I just needed to get out of the house and escape the heat, I’d had enough of sweltering. I thought I’d try my luck shotting a spot in Shelly but when I turned up they were hosting the Carols by Candlelight in the exact spot I wanted to shoot, not wanting to negotiate my way through a crowd of hundreds I decided to find another spot. Just as the sun was setting I found this really cool little jetty in Bullcreek so even though really this should be a morning shot I thought I’d give it a go. (Apologies if this is a little dark, I’m using a different computer and the screen is not callibrated).
I knew we weren’t going to get good light tonight but I just wanted to practice shooting something without all the clouds that we rely on to give us awesome photos. Let’s face it in summer there is very little cloud coverage so getting great shots without clouds is an important skill to develop, I couldn’t stand the thought of putting down my camera for the whole of summer!
Summer – Upsides – Great swimming weather, Christmas, beautiful blue skies, Rottnest and spending two weeks down south.
Summer – Downsides – Every great photography spot has stacks of people crawling all over it!!!! No clouds. 😦
