Cottesloe Beach Blues

Hi Everyone,

This is a shot I took a few weeks back whilst down at Cottesloe Beach I really like the POV on this photo, oh and the blues as well in the water.    I’ve been working Cottesloe Beach heaps lately as I’m trying to get the ultimate tourist shot but the light here in Perth really doesn’t seem to be firing up at all, this is supposed to be the time of the year when we get wicked sunrises and sunsets.  Perhaps we could all chip in and buy Clint a ticket to the East Coast for a week so that we can get some decent light. 😉

Well it certainly has to be at least on the East Coast. Perhaps Lord Howe Island? I think that way we can get some decent light around here. 😉

Anyone else want to donate to the “Help The Poor Perth Landscape Photographers Get Good Light Fund?”

  19. Hmmmm ….not sure what to make of this Jamie. I’m looking for something but it just doesn’t seem to be there,,, it’s simplistic and effective and I like the light but it’s not quite right somehow. The bollards don’t quite line up and the pylon isn’t centre. Not sure if that is the problem even though it stands out but sorry mate it’s a nup from me, even if that is a bit harsh.

I do like the clear sky, it’s rather refreshing after all the normal cloud stuff, it just screams out summer to me, I like it. ( not sure but I think the horizon is slightly off as well, Flemming would be the best judge of that)

Check my blog and give me some honest feedback, i’ve actually posted something ( just a cheap throw away line to get a few hits)

    Hi Merv,

Thanks for that. I do agree that the bollards don’t quite line up but I had the Indiana Tea House directly behind me which made this angle the only possible one.

I’ll be back there again soon I think to have another crack at this shot. 🙂
