Ice, Cold, Frosty Beer
This was my favourite photo prior to taking the Canal Rocks photo. It was in the middle of winter and absolutely freezing, around 3 or 4 degrees. I was really stoked with this shot as it was the first photo that I visualised prior to actually going out there and taking the shot and bingo I got what I visualised.
Nowdays I find that visualising any photo whether it be landscape or fashion is so important. You need to ‘see’ the shot before you even pick up the camera.
It was really cool when I went on a shoot with Dylan Fox recently to see him just sitting there ‘feeling’ and ‘seeing’ the place for 45mins prior to even picking up the camera. Obviously a reason why he is taking great shots. So to cut a long story short, see the photo before you pick up the camera! As always constructive feedback is welcomed.
