Tranquility

Hi Everyone,

I joined in a quick afternoon shoot with both Neal and Kirk at a little stream that we found.   The light was so soft and fantastic so I couldn’t wait to get home and start working on the images, here is one of them.  I absolutely loved this place.  What do you guys think of it?

  1. Very nice Jamie, I see the grads have helped balance ti exposure nicely. Was this a stitch, you never know with that 21 mega pixel beast of a camera ?

  2. Hi Neal,

Four image stitch from memory. Yes I’m happy with the filters so far.

  3. That is a nice spot and a shot with some lovely soft colours, no wonder you loved the light. Harsh light in a place like that would cast half the shot in deep shadows, works perfectly with the soft light.

  4. Hi Flemming,

Thanks for the great comments. I really appreciate them. I was just over the moon with this shot.

  9. Wear some hiking boots and bring a big ass marchetti, you’ll need it Dylan. I have a 6 inch gash and 8 inch bruise from the last hike.

  10. Really nice shot Jamie.
Is this the top of serpentine Falls??
Looks like it but just not quite sure?

  11. definitely getting better Jamie, keep it up.

  12. Youll also need to remember to bring a tourch along as it is pretty hard finiding your way back in the dark :)

  13. Hi Kirk,

I wasn’t going to mention to anyone that we got completely lost on the way back even with torches. Neal fell and gashed his leg open and I was serioiusly thinking that we were sleeping there for the night.

    Dylan,

Maybe we can run Perth photography tours. ;-)

  14. Hi Chritian,

Thanks for the words of encouragement it certainly means a lot to me. I keep remembering what you were saying about the need to keep pushing and challenging ourselves photographically so I’m doing that.
