Fremantle Frost

Hi Everyone,

Here is a pic I took down at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour with Neal and Kirk last Sunday morning, it was extremely cold and I came pretty close to just sleeping in.    Glad I made the effort though, especially since the mug of Mocha at the end of the shoot tasted so nice and refreshing.

  1. Nice shot mate ,
Sure does look cold and frosty in your shot .
The reflection turned out nice on the water
I just uploaded one of my shots from the morning as well lol .
I applied a bit of a warming filter to mine to warm it up a bit , but still going to do another shot from the morning cold and frosty . Did you get any good shots of the Pelican ?

  2. I really like this shot mate but i think its a little to cold, maybe add a stronger warming filter or check the white balance??? Nice shot though!
I can’t wait to catch up with you guys and go on a shoot!

  3. Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the kind comments. I was actually trying for a really cold look as that is how I felt on the morning LOL. Its definitely a place I’d like to go back to again soon to try and capture some colour in the clouds.

I did get some good shots of the Pelican, I’ll put them up tonight for everyone to see.

  4. Aight thats a cool idea. It will help you remind how you felt that morning haha

  5. Freakin roll on summer I say. I dont mind the cold aspect of this image, as you said it was as the morning was cold. Can I suggest a layer mash and a little darkening of the left side of the image just to bring it closer to the right side? I like the soft cloud reflection on the water very nice.

  6. Nice shot Jamie. I actually like the cold feel to the shot it works well.

  7. Hi Luke,

Thanks for that I appreciate it. Even my wife was telling me I should warm it up but I really wanted to convey the ‘damn cold’ feeling.
