Hi Clint,

I'm going to have to try it out again, but I'm not very impressed with it at the moment. Without the convertor they are crystal clear.

Cool shot Jamie, looks like there was a pretty stiff breeze blowing from the SW. What are your shots like with that lens without the teleconverter? I have thought about getting a teleconverter but am interested to know how much image quality is lost.

Hi Kirk,

The best tip I got from Christian was that Artezan makes the best coffee down there and he was right!!!

Anyone keen for a Lancelin trip as well? I REALLY want to get some cool sand dune shots.

Neal,

I was using the following F8 500th a sec and ISO 100 but with a 2 x extender does that mean it was actually F4 or F16? hmmmm its messing with my mind.

I'm going to head back down in the next couple of weeks. I want to get a few dark moody shots of the place.

We'll have to organize a trip down south in early spring for a few days. What where the settings you used for this shot, to me it looks like you may of been trying to capture a large DOF with maybe too wide a f/stop and a ISO of 100 maybe?
